UPDATE: I don't know if this sways you, but I looked up the hybrid article and it says you can only apply hunter's quarry, sneak attack, or curse damage when using a power associated with the appropriate class. For example, you would be able to use hunter's quarry with split the tree or twin strike, but not with eldritch blast or curse of the dark dream.

yeah I read the Hybrid Article Last night and learned of such as well actually. And In Response to your worries of fighting over curse targets, it will not be much of a problem as I could take a feat that will allow me to Curse targets that you already have. I have still not decided what my Secondary will be, I decided against Warlock Ranger as their Stat requirements are to different, having a high con was nice for warlock but proved to be useless for my Ranger part and I could of had a High Dex but unless you are a Archer Ranger which I did not want to make. I have narrowed my choices to Warlock/Paladin hybrid an interesting build with a lot of Radiant attacks and some heals for myself and allies, Or a Druid.

ReplyDeleteTom, you were correct in your assessment of the critical hit dice the first time. Quoting PH1 p.225-Critical: "All magic weapons and implements deal one or more extra dice of damage on a critical hit. The number of dice is equal to the weapon's enhancement bonus and the die rolled depends on the (weapon type)..."
So, for the crits I rolled, it SHOULD have been (Max|W|+bonus) + (weapon level x |W|). So for each hit, excluding additional bonuses for Hunter's Quarry and the ammo bonuses, a crit using a +3 bow on a 1d10+9 attack should have been 19 (max damage) +3|W| for each attack. Oh well. I will remember it next time.

Thanks for the update, Tony. By the way, Customer Service got back to me about Archer's Glory and they confirm that you cannot use the extra action point if you've already used one during the encounter. Sorry.
